Cookie Policy
MaskedWaffle uses only the cookies and browser storage needed for sign-in, site security and settings. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

Artist sign-in cookies
- patreon_oauth_state protects the Patreon sign-in request against tampering. It expires after 10 minutes.
- patreon_session keeps you signed in to the artist portal. It expires after one hour.
Both are secure, HTTP-only cookies in production, which means browser scripts cannot read them. They use SameSite protection and are sent only for the MaskedWaffle service.
Site preference
The site may store a setting named masked-waffle-theme in local browser storage to remember the display theme you choose. It remains until you clear the site's stored data.
Why there is no cookie banner
These technologies are strictly necessary to provide sign-in, security or a setting you request. They do not require consent under the rules that apply to non-essential cookies. Blocking or clearing them may sign you out, interrupt Patreon sign-in or reset your theme.
Your controls
You can use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies and local storage. Following a link to Patreon, Steam or a social network takes you to a separate service that controls its own cookies.
If this changes
If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or similar storage, we will update this policy and obtain consent before using it where required.
